What does Universal Law mean?

Universal Law refers to a belief system in which everything is energy and created from one source. The teachings of Universal Law show how energy of thought and belief within the consciousness of the human mind effects the energy surrounding the creation of physical life.

Why is it referred to Universal Laws (plural)?

Within the Universal Law belief system there are individual laws that explain the action of energy in the Universe—and how you create the reality of your existence in the Physical Dimension.

Where do the Universal Laws come from?

One of the first-known and most widely spread written lists of these teachings comes from Hermes Trismegistus, an ancient figure that wrote the Hermetica. The Hermetica is a written blending of laws from the ancient Greek god Hermes and the ancient Egyptian god Thoth, whose teachings (when looked at side by side) taught the same concepts. There are widespread references to the Hermes Trismegistus teachings between 300 BCE–1200 CE. References to the wisdom and philosophy of Universal Law can be found in a variety of origins, including Ancient Greek, Roman, Egyptian, Chinese, Taoist, Vedic, Muslim, Hindu, Buddhist, Judaism, and early Christian cultures and their related belief systems.

Why are the number of laws different from teacher to teacher?

The number of the Universal Laws differ from teacher to teacher. During my research, I found as few as five Universal Laws— to as many as 88! This has become so confusing over the centuries due to language barriers and religious belief systems incorporating their own teachings into the laws. But despite these differences, the meaning behind Universal Law always remain the same.

I have tried to capture the best titles and descriptions of the laws. I chose these 11 laws as they explain the basics of your reality and how you can use the energy vibrations surrounding you to create the life that you desire. The goal is to give you a tool to begin to understand the concept—and apply it to your life. I relate this to learning about numbers as a child. First, you have to know what a number represents to understand addition. These 11 laws are the “numbers” with which we’ll start. Learning to apply these laws to your life is like learning addition, a powerful tool you can use over and over. Now follow that thought through. After learning addition, you learn subtraction, then multiplication, then division; each a new powerful tool you can use to accomplish so much more. These 11 laws are a foundation for your learning, your first step to understanding so much more.

Why is the terminology so confusing?

Just as the number of laws differ from teacher to teacher, the terminology used to describe Universal Law concepts differ from teacher to teacher. Do not be intimidated. This is a quick look at the terminology I use when referring to Universal Law and the other terms that apply.

UNIVERSE: Encompasses all dimensions in time and space and all planes of each dimension, down to the smallest particle and frequency vibration.

SOURCE ENERGY: This references from whom we were created. The Creator. God, or any name given to God the Creator.

QUANTUM DIMENSION: A place in another dimension of our existence. We originated from this dimension, and we will return to this dimension when our experience on Earth ends. Our source energy exists here. Some call this place “Heaven,” some call it the “Quantum Field,” and others refer to it as the “Final Dimension.” It is another dimension of life.

PHYSICAL DIMENSION: Our existence in the human form is another dimension of the Universe. This is our physical reality on Earth. The life you are experiencing in your body is in the Physical (Earthly) Dimension.

MANIFESTATION: The ability to change your present reality into your desired reality.

HIGHER-SELF: Higher Spirit, Inner Spirit, Soul, Spiritual Self, Sub- conscious Self.... Do not get confused. It is referenced by many different names by many different teachers, but it is all the same thing. This is the life energy that is your true essence, hidden in the shadows as you experience life through your physical body in the Physical Dimension.

EGO-SELF: This is also known by different names: Conscious Self, Physical Self. This is the you that you know so well. The one who experiences life in the Physical Dimension. The you that is justified in your feelings. The you that judges if things are good or bad in the Physical Dimension.
